This morning, I read an email that came in yesterday, entitled “From Freemartins to Housemartins.” Here is that letter:

“…A section of the conversation [with Neil Foster] went into the area of transgender culture or what Alan would, I think, have referred to as the Hermaphroditic agenda. Much is made of Critical Theory being the Sacred texts behind this Church of Woke. Whilst it is the philosophy or manual from which the Social Gardeners in this enterprise have been drawing from, what can be overlooked is the nature of the current 'crop' of children that they tend. I remember Alan often referring to phytoestrogens, bisphenol, sperm counts etc., and in this vein would like to share a couple of finds of my own… not earth shattering... just a couple that I've come across.

'For of course in the vast majority of cases, fertility is merely a nuisance. One fertile ovary in twelve hundred - that would really be quite sufficient for our purposes. But we want to have a good choice. And of course, one must have an enormous margin of safety. So, we allow as many as thirty per cent of the female embryos to develop normally. The others get a dose of male sex-hormone every twenty-four metres for the rest of the course. Result: they're decanted as Freemartins - structurally quite normal (except,' he had to admit 'that they do have the slightest tendency to grow beards), but sterile. Guaranteed sterile.'

Aldous Huxley --- Brave New World (1932)

Dr. F. Neumann and Dr. M. Kramer of the Schering Co. in Berlin treated pregnant rats with a substance known as cyproterone acetate, injecting it between the thirteenth and twenty-second days of pregnancy. The male offspring of these rats were born with vaginas. Soon after birth, they were castrated, and ovaries were implanted. Later study showed that the implanted ovaries produced eggs in the normal manner and also secreted the hormones which give the female sexual expression in cyclic character. These rats behaved as if they were females and were treated as such by ordinary male rats. Furthermore, very similar results were attained by treating the male offspring with cyproterone acetate immediately after they were born.

It seems almost certain, now, that the brain tissue of the embryo is fundamentally female; male development occurs when the male hormone, testosterone, is manufactured on instructions from the male chromosome. Cyproterone acetate neutralizes the effect of the testosterone. It may be, therefore, that it will be easier to turn boys into girls than girls into boys.

It was the music that drew me in. I don’t know much about English indie rock. What could be better with a cup of coffee on a cold, dreary Sunday morning than the musical tour that began with The Housemartins: Aztec Camera, The Smiths, and Fatboy Slim?

This Redux is the first hour of a two-hour talk/interview that Alan Watt had with Hehpsehboah on her radio show, Eye on the Future, on March 27, 2006. The audio quality of the interview isn’t great, but the content is fascinating. Lots of laughter and historical commentary you won’t find elsewhere. I was interested in Alan’s discussion on what it means to KNOW THYSELF but ended up getting involved in the entire two hours of their conversation. (Both segments end abruptly in case you wonder about that. No “goodbye” or exit music.)

Alan talked with Hehpsehboah about the new kind of purpose-made slave (golem) being created, The Hermaphroditic Agenda. Der Golem is a partially lost German film from 1915. In Jewish folk tales, the 16^th century Rabbi Judah Loew, created a golem to protect his people from antisemites.

But first! Let’s look at the Wikipedia definition of a Golem:

A golem (/ˈɡoʊləm/ GOH-ləm; Hebrew: ‎גּוֹלֶם, romanized: gōlem) is an animated, anthropomorphic being in Jewish folklore, which is entirely created from inanimate matter, usually clay or mud. The most famous golem narrative involves Judah Loew ben Bezalel, the late 16th-century rabbi of Prague. According to Moment magazine, “the golem is a highly mutable metaphor with seemingly limitless symbolism. It can be a victim or villain, man or woman—or sometimes both. Over the centuries, it has been used to connote war, community, isolation, hope, and despair.”

The word golem occurs once in the Bible in Psalm 139:16, which uses the word גלמי (golmi; my golem), that means “my light form”, “raw” material, connoting the unfinished human being before God's eyes. The Mishnah uses the term for an uncultivated person: “Seven characteristics are in an uncultivated person, and seven in a learned one”, (שבעה דברים בגולם) (Avot 5:9 in the Hebrew text; English translations vary).

In Modern Hebrew, golem is used to mean “dumb” or “helpless”, or a pupa. Similarly, it is often used today as a metaphor for a mindless lunk or entity that serves a man under controlled conditions but is hostile to him under other conditions. “Golem” passed into Yiddish as goylem to mean someone who is lethargic or beneath a stupor.

More than Jewish folklore, in many ways this mirrors the creation story of Genesis (Gene-Isis.) God breathes into a lump of clay, and man is animated.

The 1915 film was directed by Paul Wegener and the 1920 film was his third in the series. That film is widely available on the internet.

When his people were under threat, Rabbi Loew visited the royal court to enlist support. He introduced the royalty and all the “upper classes” to a form of magic. He conjured up a “moving picture.” His audience was delighted, terrified, and hypnotized by this magical art.

In Alan Watt’s Cutting Through volume 1, “The Androgynous (Hermaphroditic) Agenda”, he wrote about the ancient Persian Magi, trained from childhood to understand human nature. The Magi used mind control. Describing the Hermaphroditic Agenda, Alan wrote, “The Caliphs (Persian kings/magii) of Holly-wood use this ancient art to perfection. They live in CALIFornia. All religions appear to have been created by Persian Magii. Every religion has an accompanying SECRET DOCTRINE ---- the SAME SECRET DOCTRINE.”

Movies and music shape our minds, they usher in cultural revolutions, but the ancient priesthood did not confine themselves to the arts of film and music, they were also the Adepts of Science. As Alan pointed out, “Mother is Cow.” The infertile female cow, with masculine behavior and non-functioning ovaries is a Freemartin. One of the discoverers of how this occurs was the scientist Frank Rattray Lillie. Funded by the Rockefellers and the Carnegies, it’s no surprise he was a eugenicist.

In The Biological Time Bomb, Taylor “heralded the advent of artificial insemination, organ transplants, as well as research into memory and controlling moods.” During the war, Gordon Rattray Taylor was in the Psychological Warfare department of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force (SHAEF), an early precursor of NATO, under the directorship of Dwight D. Eisenhower. Also of interest, he was a member of the Society for Psychical Research whose “stated purpose is to understand events and abilities commonly described as psychic or paranormal. It describes itself as the ‘first society to conduct organised scholarly research into human experiences that challenge contemporary scientific models.’” The president of the Society for Psychical Research in 1893, was Arthur Balfour, who as Lord Balfour, would put his name to the Balfour Declaration of 1917, that piece of paper that would help to create modern-day Israel.

For youth, music profoundly shapes attitudes, behavior, and dress. The beat is arguably more powerful than the image. But the presentation of the star is a key element. Glam rock brings a nod of appreciation from The Smiths. There’s an element of the asexual, or bisexual. The body types have visibly changed over the decades, and this is put on the alter of the stage for all to see and worship. The Freemartins are described as representing a blend of socialism and Christianity in their lyrics, though they describe themselves as religious, but not Christian. “The People Who Grinned Themselves to Death” is an anthem that captures the sounds of the period and conveys the anti-monarch lyrics that resonate with young people. Interesting that so many members of The Freemartins claimed to be vegetarian. The correct social conscience is wrapped up with a catchy beat and non-threatening sexuality for the new type.

When Norman Cook left The Freemartins, he was reinvented as Fatboy Slim, DJ and record producer. His “Right Here, Right Now” re-purposes the words of Greta Thunberg. She is raised to dance floor goddess, her words forever enshrined in a “house classic.” The people spoke. It’s epic, it’s hauntingly beautiful, it’s an “effing masterpiece.” An anthem to dance ourselves to oblivion.

In 1921, Yiddish writer H. Leivick published his work, “Der goylem: a dramatishe poeme in akht bilder” (“The Golem: A Dramatic Poem in Eight Scenes”) in New York. The Maharal is Rabbi Judah Loew.

I know you will not hear my plea.

With coldness and with cruelty you shaped me.

How good it was to be mere clay,
