The Reality of Evil

Malachi Martin begins his book Hostage to the Devil with the story of Father Michael Strong, a Catholic priest conducting an exorcism. It is December 11, 1937, and the city is Nanking, the possessed man is Thomas Wu, wanted for the murder of five women and two men. The story was that Wu had murdered and then eaten his victims. Police descend on the old building where Father Strong is fighting Wu’s demons, there is some sort of explosion and flames begin to engulf the old storehouse. As the police try to apprehend the murderer and save the priest, Father Strong watches Wu’s face as each demon appears and then recedes to make room for the next. Flames surround Wu. The police successfully remove Father Strong from the burning building. The voice of Wu is heard to say, “It’s all one. Fool! We’re all the same. Always were. Always. There’s only one of us. One…”
Two days later, on December 13, the Imperial Japanese Army was let loose upon the city and what followed was one of the worst atrocities of World War II. The massacre lasted six weeks. Numbers vary, but the best estimates were at least 200,000 casualties and at least 20,000 cases of rape. Two Japanese officers, Toshiaki Mukai and Tsuyoshi Noda of the Japanese 16th Division vied to be the first to kill 100 people with a sword before the capture of Nanjing. By the time they had arrived at Zijin Mountain, Noda had killed 105 people while Mukai had killed 106 people.
The International Military Tribunal for the Far East estimated that 20,000 women, including some children and elderly, were raped during the occupation. Yale University puts the number at over 80,000 rapes. Many rapes were done systematically by the Japanese soldiers as they went from door to door searching out women. The women and girls were killed immediately after being raped, often through explicit mutilation, such as by penetrating vaginas with bayonets, long sticks of bamboo, or other objects.
John Rabe was a German businessman and Nazi best known for his attempts to stop war crimes during the Japanese takeover of Nanjing (Nanking). He wrote:
“Two Japanese soldiers have climbed over the garden wall and are about to break into our house. When I appear they give the excuse that they saw two Chinese soldiers climb over the wall. When I show them my party badge, they return the same way. In one of the houses in the narrow street behind my garden wall, a woman was raped, and then wounded in the neck with a bayonet. I managed to get an ambulance so we can take her to Kulou Hospital ... Last night up to 1,000 women and girls are said to have been raped, about 100 girls at Ginling College...alone. You hear nothing but rape. If husbands or brothers intervene, they're shot. What you hear and see on all sides is the brutality and bestiality of the Japanese soldiers.”
Robert O. Wilson, was an American surgeon and Protestant missionary at the university hospital in the Safety Zone administrated by the United States. In two excerpts from his letters of 15 and 18 December 1937 to his family he wrote:
“The slaughter of civilians is appalling. I could go on for pages telling of cases of rape and brutality almost beyond belief. Two bayoneted corpses are the only survivors of seven street cleaners who were sitting in their headquarters when Japanese soldiers came in without warning or reason and killed five of their number and wounded the two that found their way to the hospital. Let me recount some instances occurring in the last two days. Last night the house of one of the Chinese staff members of the university was broken into and two of the women, his relatives, were raped. Two girls, about 16, were raped to death in one of the refugee camps. In the University Middle School where there are 8,000 people the Japs came in ten times last night, over the wall, stole food, clothing, and raped until they were satisfied. They bayoneted one little boy of eight who [had] five bayonet wounds including one that penetrated his stomach, a portion of omentum was outside the abdomen. I think he will live.”
Episcopalian priest John Magee is credited with saving thousands of lives during the events of the massacre. He documented many of the victims and the aftermath with motion picture films. The Legation Secretary of the German Embassy wrote to his Foreign Ministry about a film that Magee made in December of 1937:
“Mrs. Hsia was dragged out from under a table in the guest hall where she had tried to hide with her 1-year-old baby. After being stripped and raped by one or more men, she was bayoneted in the chest and then had a bottle thrust into her vagina. The baby was killed with a bayonet. Some soldiers then went to the next room, where Mrs. Hsia's parents, aged 76 and 74, and her two daughters aged 16 and 14 [were]. They were about to rape the girls when the grandmother tried to protect them. The soldiers killed her with a revolver. The grandfather grasped the body of his wife and was killed. The two girls were then stripped, the elder being raped by two or three men and the younger by three. The older girl was stabbed afterwards, and a cane was rammed in her vagina. The younger girl was bayoneted also but was spared the horrible treatment that had been meted out to her sister and mother. The soldiers then bayoneted another sister of between seven and eight years old who was also in the room. The last murders in the house were of Ha's two children, aged four and two respectively. The older was bayoneted and the younger split down through the head with a sword.”

Alan Watt never
shied away from evil, the evil that men do, and evil as an actual force, an
entity. Week in and week out he talked
about the horrors perpetrated on people by a psychopathic elite. It isn’t just news of the day that is so
important to know but understanding this agenda within the context of its
ancient history. In this Redux talk
from 4 July 2007, "Modern Mythological
Enemies versus The Man in the Mirror - Psychological Projection in the
Scientific Era" Alan talks at length about sciences and
says that sciences usually have to do with the mastery and control of the minds
of others. “What do we see [in life]
today?” Alan asks. He talks about the
slaughter we see in war but also that which is unseen, e.g. killing us through
inoculations or high-tech weaponry which is silent. “Far from freeing us, science is killing
us. This brings us always back to the
crucial point and that is the nature of evil itself.”
Alan had a calm and quiet way about describing everything and that included evil. Yes, sometimes he might harshly spit out the word “disgusting” but even in his presentation of the most horrific deeds, he simply said what was. I asked him about that on more than one occasion and he answered always in a similar way. “You can’t give someone righteous indignation. If the horror of something doesn’t register immediately and viscerally my adding an emotional note will not give them the response that they already should have.”
A few times, Alan told the story of a type of atrocity that Soviet enforcers would do to someone as a kind of warning for their little town. The victim would be pulled from their home and taken out on to the street where in front of neighbours peering quietly from their windows, the soldier would pierce them with a bayonet and remove one end of their intestine. This would be attached to a post and the man would be forced to walk around that post, wrapping it with their intestines until they died.
Several times, Alan illustrated the behavior of a psychopath by telling the story of the death of Gaddafi. When Colonel Muammar Gaddafi was killed in 2011, it was initially reported that he had been shot in crossfire. Later eyewitness reports said that he died after being stabbed with a bayonet in the anus. When Hillary Clinton learned of his death, she cackled, “We came, we saw, he died.” Alan said that nobody who had ever killed, for example a soldier in war, would look upon the act with glee…unless they were a psychopath. Some essential human element was missing.

Over the years, I had the opportunity to watch many movies with Alan. It was always educational. He liked William Peter Blatty’s film The Exorcist based on his novel with the same title. He particularly liked Blatty’s follow-up, The Exorcist III, as George C. Scott was an actor he always enjoyed. There was a scene in The Exorcist III that Alan liked to watch and ponder and discuss. Scott plays Lieutenant William F. Kinderman, who is called on to investigate an incident at a church that seemed to indicate the presence of an evil supernatural entity.
Kinderman has a friendly relationship with Father Joseph Dyer, but he is not himself a religious man. In a conversation with Father Dyer, he points to his experiences as a Georgetown (Washington, D.C.) cop that have put him in daily contact with the worst of human nature and left him with doubts about the existence of God. Near the end of the film, Kinderman has seen things occur which he cannot explain rationally or scientifically. In his final clash with something very dark and terrifying he delivers the following lines:
“This I believe in... I believe in death. I believe in disease. I believe in injustice, and inhumanity, and torture, and anger, and hate. I believe in murder. I believe in pain. I believe in cruelty, and infidelity.
I believe in slime, and stink, and in every crawling, putrid thing, every possible ugliness and corruption, YOU SON OF A BITCH! I BELIEVE... in you.”
Alan liked the way this was put across in the film. That in an atheized world, where we look for a scientific explanation for everything, the only way in which one could come to believe in the supernatural was by believing in evil. As an actual force. An entity.
We’d watch a
film like that and then talk about something like the Rape of Nanking or the
Rwandan Hutu. What was in them?
For Alan, Malachi Martin was a bit of an enigma. He had no doubts based on the research that has been available for many years, that Martin was instrumental in bringing about some of the most damaging changes to the Catholic Church that were wrought by the Second Vatican Council. And yet, with his book Hostage to the Devil and the notoriety that received, he believed that Martin had done a good thing by popularizing the truth of the supernatural world and facilitating a supressed memory that evil is very real, and we are surrounded by it.

In just 100 days in 1994, about 800,000 people (mostly Tutsi) were slaughtered in Rwanda by ethnic Hutu. Hutu soldiers, police, and militia recruited and pressured Hutu civilians to arm themselves with machetes, clubs, blunt objects, and other weapons and encouraged them to rape, maim, and kill their Tutsi neighbors and to destroy or steal their property. Rwanda is about the size of the American state of Massachusetts. Think about 8,000 murders a day for a hundred days committed in an area that small.
Many survivors of this atrocity were infected with HIV as the Hutu soldiers released AIDS patients from hospitals and turned them into rape squads so that the Tutsi women who survived rape would endure the slow and painful effects of HIV. Tutsi women were also targeted with intent to destroy their reproductive capacity. Sexual mutilation sometimes occurred after the rape and included mutilation of the vagina with machetes, knives, sharpened sticks, boiling water, and acid. Men were also the victims of sexual violation, including public mutilation of the genitals.
As this occurred, the world was mostly silent. There was some handwringing from the United Nations, but the overall strategy was to let this rage burn itself out. Some Tutsis took refuge in churches and were given over to the Hutu by priests. But while that did happen, there were many priests and Protestant missionaries and ministers who bravely resisted and saved many lives. There are stories too of Hutu who hid and protected Tutsi.
Carl Wilkens was the only American who chose to stay in Rwanda once the genocide began. He was a Christian minister and the former head of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency International in Rwanda. Wilkens has subsequently said that the situation during the genocide was very complex, and he often worked at the edge of law and morality. He was in positions that could have been interpreted as compromising or even collaborating with the enemy, making bargains with evil in order to save many thousands of people.
Alan has mentioned Canada’s General Roméo Dallaire who faced a similar dilemma, debating whether it was morally acceptable to "shake hands with the Devil" in order to save someone's life. Dallaire served as force commander of UNAMIR, the ill-fated United Nations peacekeeping force for Rwanda between 1993 and 1994. He attempted to stop the genocide that was being waged by Hutu extremists against the Tutsi people and Hutu moderates. In his book Shake Hands with the Devil: The Failure of Humanity in Rwanda, General Dallaire wrote, “In Rwanda, I shook hands with the devil, so I know there is a god. I know the devil exists, and therefore I know there is a god.”
Dallaire suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder and in 2000, attempted suicide by combining alcohol with his anti-depressant medication, a near fatal combination which left him comatose.
As Alan discusses in this talk, and so many others, soldiers (even high-ranking ones) are used for foreign policy. These may be ordinary men who have internalized the propaganda and truly believe that they are fighting for some just cause. Even the subconscious realization that they have been duped into acting in ways contrary to conscience is enough to destroy their lives.
We live in a world in which evil has been normalized and this makes it difficult to see what is.

Last Wednesday, we concluded the Waking Up series of excerpts on a high note. “There’s a Joy in Being Awake.” Being awake is not being cognizant that we are under tyranny or that this ancient agenda is about eugenics, depopulation. Being awake is not about parroting the latest statistics about vaccine injuries or PCR tests or contaminated food.
The joy is something that Alan has described as an inexplicable peace that one feels even while…while we know what is being done, by whom and why. We understand that there is a purpose in our knowledge. It’s kind of deep! But Alan left his map for anyone willing to look in the mirror.
This upcoming Wednesday we are going to begin a new series of excerpts, Evil. We’ll hear what Alan has to say about evil. We hope that these clips prompt you to look at the world and at your own lives from a different perspective.
Finally, I’ll end with some “news of the day.” Abortion has always been a hot-button topic, but the dialogue is intensifying in a way that it hasn’t in many years. Some states are instituting tougher laws that put restrictions on abortions.
From Wikipedia about the Nanjing Massacre:
Pregnant women were targeted for murder, as their stomachs were often bayoneted, sometimes after rape. Tang Junshan, survivor and witness to one of the Japanese army's systematic mass killings, testified: “The seventh and last person in the first row was a pregnant woman. The soldier thought he might as well rape her before killing her, so he pulled her out of the group to a spot about ten meters away. As he was trying to rape her, the woman resisted fiercely.... The soldier abruptly stabbed her in the belly with a bayonet. She gave a final scream as her intestines spilled out. Then the soldier stabbed the fetus, with its umbilical cord clearly visible, and tossed it aside.”
The use of fetal tissue from elective abortions is
commonplace in the pharmaceutical industry and in medical research. What is the difference?
There are some interesting things worth viewing and watching this week. If Alan was here, he might put a few qualifications in front of a news item. He could watch and laugh at a J.P. Sears’ comedy clip, but I doubt he’d find the exposé on Klaus Schwab to be particularly fresh or illuminating. Still, we work with what we have.
I think he would have appreciated Matthew Ehret’s work for Unlimited Hangout, The Rhodes Scholars Guiding Biden’s Presidency. Ehret does a nice job of tying together the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders program to Cecil Rhodes and the Rhodes Scholarship system but his assertion that Franklin D. Roosevelt was somehow a fly in the ointment of British imperial policy is naïve at best. “FDR’s vision for a world of US-Russia-Chinese cooperation and internationalization of the New Deal was more than a little anathema to Cold War, which Rhodes Scholars had been preparing so they could sculpt the world order after WWII. Neither FDR, his allies nor his grand design could be tolerated for long.” But still, several interesting articles to ponder about the WEF, the CFR, and these old but enduring Round Tables that dictate policy.
Canada’s Ice Age Farmer has put out a couple of excellent videos this last week where he talks about the CDC and the bird flu and the effect this is having on chickens and eggs as a source of protein. This led me deep into more gain-of-function research and the funding that the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation provided for weaponizing the bird flu and the work that scientists did to reconstruct the Spanish Flu virus and make it more virulent (to help us, don’t you know?)
I leave you with a stack of news links that you can read and watch, as Alan would say, “If you can be bothered.” And I leave you with my thoughts about the debt we owe Alan.
I’ve had people say to me in the last year that they are surprised that many alternative news sites never discuss Alan Watt, his work or the debt they owe him for the years of tireless work he did. Here are three possible explanations for their silence.
1) They don’t know that they owe him anything. They are ignorant of the fact that prior to Alan Watt, nobody was talking about eugenics, depopulation or sustainability. At least nobody was putting it all together as he did so eloquently for so long.
2) Ego – They know full well from whom they learned all the depth and nuance of this ancient agenda but prefer that they be seen to be illumined. To give credit where credit is due would detract from their “brilliance.”
3) They are disinfo agents who need to be seen as the megaphoned or Zoom voice of “truth.”
Alan knew his worth and he would never cry foul as that would only come across as sour grapes, but in his absence, I think it’s important to remind you that Alan was a voice of truth that we will not have again in our lifetime. Guard your mind well.
