Let your mind drift back to late February 2020. If you were a regular listener to Cutting Through the Matrix with Alan Watt, you might remember that he had been covering the story of the 2019 novel coronavirus for two or three weeks.

On February 11, 2020 the International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses (ICTV) named this “novel” virus Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and on that same day, the WHO announced “COVID-19” as the name of this new disease.

This week's Redux is from February 23, 2020 and it is entitled "Experts Gaslighting of Public Creates Immobility, Inability to Decide, Act, and Helpless Docility." Alan describes the behavioral controls used during wartime, where people are given completely different versions of events, left in confusion, kept in a gaslighting state until they give up. A third “expert” then comes along to give you the authorized opinion that you then cling to.

Panic! The virus might have a hibernation period of ten days. No! It might be able to hibernate for two weeks. One study from Korea in February 2020 posited a hibernation period of ninety days! Something was sprayed along the Wuhan sidewalks from industrial spray guns by men in orange hazmat suits, but we were never told what they were spraying. Panic!

Here's an interesting little side-trip: In this talk, Alan discusses panic-fear-hype, the uncertain hibernation period, the mysterious spraying of the Wuhan sidewalks, and yet, flights are still allowed out of China, [out of Hubei province, out of Wuhan.] Factcheck.org ran a piece in May 2020, entitled Trump’s Flawed China Travel Conspiracy. Historian Niall Ferguson questioned why flights were allowed out of Hubei after January 23, but later another academic Daniel Bell contested Ferguson's facts and factcheck.org uses Bell's research to attack Trump's criticism of China's failure to contain the virus. But here's what one should pay attention to from the “fact checkers.” “Most of those flights [from Wuhan] were cancelled.” “After Jan. 23, flight data shows there were a few flights from Wuhan to destinations in Asia outside of China...but those may have been mostly empty planes returning to their base country.” In other words, flights were still allowed out.

9/11 was the kick-off. The beginning of the end of freedom and privacy. Worldwide. We were asked, “Would you give up freedoms for security?” Alan says, “Most people are not in charge of what goes on in their own heads.” The different sciences employed to persuade and coerce are amplified by technetronic means, low frequency pulses.

Alan often quoted from Zbigniew Brzezinski's 1970 book, Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era. This is one quote from that book on surveillance. “The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen and maintain up-to-date complete files containing even the most personal information about the citizen. These files will be subject to instantaneous retrieval by the authorities.” These elite will use “the latest modern techniques for influencing public behavior and keeping society under close surveillance and control”. Brzezinski later became President Jimmy Carter's National Security Advisor.

The Frankfurt School grew out of the Institute for Social Research originally based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In the 1930s and 1940s many of the thinkers involved in that group came to the U.S. and during WWII, Franz Neumann and others from the Frankfurt School were employed by William “Wild Bill” Donovan, head of the U.S. Office of Strategic Services (OSS) – a precursor to the CIA – to head (Neumann) and work within the Research and Analysis Branch of the OSS, studying Nazi-ruled central Europe.

The Frankfurt School is described as being “back in fashion” as of 2016. The seminal work of the Frankfurt School was The Authoritarian Personality, which constructed a psychological and sociological profile of the “potentially fascistic individual.” If you crawl down this rabbit hole, you may question the methodology employed to arrive at the “authoritarian type,” but what you will see is that people with innocent “American” values such as love of family, community and God are evidently ripe to turn fascist under the right set of circumstances. Hence those values must be questioned and undermined. To avoid another fascist leader, culture must be destroyed and rebuilt. People must be made to loathe themselves, including men and women. The traditional family is the birthplace of fascist idealogy.

Members of the Frankfurt School were influenced by the ideas of Italian Marxist philosopher Antonio Gramsci (1860-1937), a politician and one-time leader of the Communist party of Italy. The late Joseph Buttigieg, father of Pete Buttigieg (Secretary of Transportation under Biden) was the translator and editor of the three-volume English edition of Gramsci's Prison Notebooks. The curious among you can do your own research into father and son Buttigieg.

Kruschev famously said that “In the West, we don't call them Communists. We call them Liberals.”

It is not the point of this introduction to delve too deeply into The Frankfurt School and its members. I did notice that a quick search led me to a Wiki page which described “Cultural Marxism” as being a far-right, antisemitic conspiracy theory. If you don't want to get that label placed upon you, then use the Wiki redirect and go to “Marxist cultural analysis.” I also stumbled upon a 2016 article from The New Yorker, The Frankfurt School Knew Trump Was Coming. “The fears of The Frankfurt School (Theodore Adorno in particular) are coming true. With the election of Donald Trump, the latent threat of American authoritarianism is on the verge of being realized, its characteristics already mapped by latter-day sociologists who have updated Adorno’s “F-scale” for fascist tendencies.”

What I am laying out are inter-generational connections of societal critique and revolution. Rules for Radicals was written by Saul D. Alinsky. There are clear connections between Alinsky and Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Less clear are ties between Black Lives Matter, Antifa and Alinsky but the Marxist ties to the founders of BLM are indisputable and bragged about. Ben Carson drew attention to Alinksy's acknowledgment at the outset of Rules for Radicals of Lucifer as “the first radical known to man,” “someone who “rebelled against the establishment...so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom.” Unfortunately for us, we now inhabit that kingdom.

In this talk, Alan discusses the energy unit, the credit system that Bertrand Russell predicted where everyone will be given tokens and a universal wage. One is totally controlled. Universal Basic Income. Anti-social? Lose your income. “It's all happening, folks,” says Alan. “Net.” “The web.” The internet brought to us by DARPA for a cashless system. The Chinese Social Credit System. “That's what we're going through now.”

Technocracy is management by experts from birth to death. Joshua Haldeman was a leader of Technocracy Incorporated in Canada from 1936 to 1941. His first grandson was born in 1971. His name is Elon Musk. At least a few times a year, you'll find Elon Musk pushing Universal Basic Income.

People are kept distracted and entertained. Actors are highly paid prostitutes of morality and culture. We are indoctrinated by what we put in our eyes and ears. Entertainment is one of the most effective adult education programs. Part of the change is we're being changed. We adopt and adapt. Bill Cooper said that people will come to love socialism.

Klaus Schwab (World Economic Forum) has his Little Blue Book, Covid-19 and The Great Reset. He has often talked about the critical role that children have to play in shaping the new future.

Children are taught who and what to hate. Look at China's cultural revolution. Now we have Extinction Rebellion and all forms of “Save the Earth.” Those contaminated with old viewpoints and old morality must be re-educated or eliminated.

Year Zero is an idea put into practice by Pol Pot when the Khmer Rouge took over Cambodia. All culture and traditions within a society must be completely destroyed or discarded, and a new revolutionary culture must replace it, starting from scratch. All of the history of a nation or a people before Year Zero would be largely deemed irrelevant, because it would ideally be purged and replaced from the ground up.

The Peter Hitchens' interview Alan mentions is well worth watching. The British Revolution WAS Televised (but few realised...) Hitchens says, “We live in post-revolutionary societies. In most cases, we don't even realize the revolution has taken place...Modern left-wing revolution means this: policing of thought, the deadening of the Academy [AW: that's education, which is just indoctrination now, for social engineering]...supression of disagreement...”

George Orwell in 1984 writes, "Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed [or toppled], every date has been altered. History has stopped."

There's an old sci-fi survival movie from 1962, Panic in Year Zero! A family sets out on a camping trip and as they are heading into the mountains, they see a mushroom cloud over what used to be Los Angeles. On their portable radio, they listen to war news and learn that the United Nations has declared this to be "Year Zero". It made a few good observations about human nature under a pure survival scenario, but the best part of the movie was the title.
